Mobi offers a turnkey solution that leverages a unique combination of artificial intelligence, machine learning and traffic simulation on the one hand, and data fusion, IoT and Vehicle to Everything (V2X) on the other. The powerful combination is used to collect and understand data from disparate data sources and provide city officials the ability to predict and deliver real-time optimized solutions for streamlining the transportation network. “Our traffic information and mobility management platform provide city officials with alerts and road network Key Performance Indicator (KPIs) in real time that enable detecting and addressing congestion emergence, just in time to preempt its buildup, and for the network to avoid reaching a gridlock,” explains Ganor.

Diving into the specifications, Mobi’s transportation management solutions collect the necessary data from any available source on a wireless sensor network. These could be sensors that a city has deployed over the years, cellular data, or information integrated from Google Maps. This pool of information then goes through Mobi’s cutting edge AI cloud engine. Having a cloud deployment with a solution-as-a-service model not only allows the city officials to access the traffic information from anywhere across the globe but also minimizes the need for any form of physical installation. On top of the engine there is a decision support system—placed in the city’s traffic control centers or integrated with other systems and real-time applications—that enables users to visualize the data, gain actionable insights and compare alternatives. Making a Smart City Smarter

Mobi started this journey of solving the gridlock dilemma in Israel, a great place to test new technologies owing to the country’s adaptability to the latest innovations. Following the solution’s success in traffic management, the company soon extended its reach to Atlanta, U.S. After Ganor met the former CIO of Atlanta, Samir Saini, a decision was made to incorporate Mobi into the Renew Atlanta initiative, a $250M effort to improve Atlanta’s infrastructure. With the overarching goal of decreasing Atlanta’s infamous traffic condition, Mobi assisted the city with an initial focus on measuring and managing mass crowd events in areas where the city needed to concentrate on tasks that are more urgent. Furthermore, Mobi has also helped manage mass crowd events such as Atlanta Falcon’s football games and will be a key component in preparing and managing traffic around Super Bowl LII taking place in the city in February. Mobi extracts predictive and optimized actionable insights from traffic data in real time, providing the city officials with full mobility situational awareness and helping the city make changes to traffic signal timing and traffic police deployment. Atlanta uses Mobi’s cloud analytics platform and event scorecards to debrief and make decisions about changes to improve ingress and egress for upcoming events.

More importantly perhaps, Mobi brings hope of a solution to a trend that saw congestion increasing by 50 percent in the last 10 years across the US. “We are very excited about the opportunity to work with Mobi. The Future of Transportation

Gearing up for 2019, Mobi’s goal ahead is to expand its offering to more cities in the U.S. with its third generation mobility optimization tool for transportation management operators. “Our task is to show smart cities how our technology can improve the usability of their entire existing network, with a cost lower than what is required to build new infrastructure,” adds Ganor. While numerous companies uncover innovations around decision support, simulation, and analytics, Mobi holds a sweet spot in the intelligent transportation marketplace, synchronizing various tools to solve the transportation challenges and providing an end-to-end solution.
